It’s with great pleasure that we can announce our next release by the one they call Qant. Part of the Toulouse-based Egregore crew and headquartered just outside of Paris, Arthur’s music has been doing serious damage left, right & center. His refreshing style is best described as dark, unpredictable jungle. With previous (physical) releases on Vibez 93′, Egregore collective and bassweight operations + regular appearances on RinseFR, Qant is creating his recipe for success and without a doubt we will hear more from him in the future. For his Eyesome debut release, Qant brought along partners in crime Yaxx, Duckem and Stacktrace who teamed up for a healthy dose of blissful bassweight and breaks.
Qant & Yaxx – Scales EP [EYED004]
Damn low:
The first track of the Scales EP embraces the listener with an aggressive bassline. Perfectly arranged breaks giving you a hard time to stand still. Time to get your groove on!
Scales:
Minor bells are leading throughout scales taking the listener on a trip to the unknown. A deep and funky bassline introduced by a massive drop makes you lose all sense of direction.
Siberia VIP:
Siberia VIP leans to the darker side of this EP brings you to the cold, unexplored places of Russia. Minimal basslines, sharp hi-hats and ambient soundscapes brings along an understanding and respect for abandoned places like this.
Scales (Duckem remix)
EYED003 signee Duckem reimagines Scales as a calmer and dreamier edit of the OG. The track does carry a more melancholic, almost scary mood by adding trap and vocal elements.
Damn low (Stacktrace remix)
Toulousain Stacktrace wraps up the EP with a refreshing approach on the original by rearranging drums and placing unique cosmic ambient sounds through the track. Nickel!
