Bisweed - Cosmic Journey EP - EYED005

TakeOff launches us in the atmosphere with ground-breaking speed. Uplifting bells, dissonant soundscapes and smooth reecey chords form the main elements of the track interlaced with great drum work. Cloud Walk kicks off as a gentle percussive bit that eventually uncoils into smooth chords before making amoodier dash to the finishing line over an urgent throbbing bassline and a distant choir vocal. Only the second track of the EP and we are already on cloud 9! Once past the clouds, Orbit takes us straight to the coldest places of the universe. Light, high-pitched bells at the intro of the track quickly make way for eerie and hypnotic chords laid on top of a heavyweight bassline. The interplay between good and bad, ying and yang is perfectly represented in this track. Passages marks the passing of some of the darker parts of the universe. Exploring the unexplored with hyperdetailed funk-led leads and a locktight groove make way for an intense headphone or system workout. Already introduced by the leads of the previous track, Bisweed finishes off his Cosmic Journey with the warm-distorted and jazzy Stardust. The final part of the Cosmic Journey has a liquid edge seeping with infectious patterns and soulful grooves – a true demonstration of the depth of his sound.
