Celebrating another year of Eyesome, Estonian sub-specialist Q100 joins the Collective with his hometown inspired ‘Sepa’ EP. Dropping early December, Q100 unearths pressurized half-time drum and bass alongside bleeding edge dubstep across four original tracks, one featuring Ohwy. Two top tier remixes follow courtesy of Qant (EYED004) and Holdem, one half of the champion neurofunk duo Mean Teeth. Growing up in the winding streets of Estonia’s bay-side capital city, Tallinn, provided the inspiration for these chasm-filling rollers. Connecting the EP is a deep appreciation for rocksteady, lush percussion and clean, ultra-fat basslines. While the organic, drone-like strings across ‘Sepa’ illicit Estonian impulses, urban dwellers. worldwide will recognise the hair-raising sirens, voices and vagabonds around each corner of their own city at night.

q100 ft. Ohwy, Qant, Holdem - Sepa EP

Both ‘Ädala’ ft. Ohwy and ‘Randla’ ricochet across the cobblestones around 170BPM, the former locking in a pad-frightened, heavy sway and the latter increasing the pace while crunching into moments of oscillator-twisting chaos. Lurking in the depths of dubstep docks, ‘Kiisa’ gently pulverizes the dancefloor with extended, bone-shuddering 808’s, while the thugged-up ‘Descanso Drive’ slams forward, spiking into delirious split-seconds of sheer panic. Qant returns to Eyesome to give ‘Kiisa’ a genre-melting rework that sets foot in a labyrinth of hyper-dark garage, which leads to a 170BPM maze of distorted breaks undergoing open snare surgery. Finally, Holdem evolves ‘Ädala’ into a stripped back neuro rollercoaster complete with bass-ridden loop-da-loops and a 2nd drop to help you skank right through to 2022. Beyond Eyesome the producers involved in Q100’s ‘Sepa’ EP have releases across labels like Fat Kid On Fire, C4C Recordings, and Egregore Collective, and have music supported by Noisia, Sicaria Sound, Coco Bryce and much more. Looking back at a year of 6 multi-genre releases crafted by 19 producers from across Europe & Asia, Eyesome is proud to top off 2021 with Q100’s bass-fuelled, Tallinn inspired ‘Sepa’ EP.
