Imanzi & Kontent – Transmission Lost EP [EYED002]

Transmission Lost kicks of the journey with easy pace fueled by lightly dark, minimalistic sound-effects. As the tune progresses, it uncoils into a combination of smooth chords, an uplifting groove and vocals straight from the Apollo cockpit, which hits the spot well before the finishing line. Grevious Dub instantly raises the bar upon the drop. Beautiful soundscapes, well placed samples and clever wobbles perfectly describe this dancefloor smasher. Warning: Bassweight inna di place. After almost overheating the engines, Battle Royal is the first d’n’b track of the pack. Reecey, metallic textures on top of an industrial bassline launches you straight through the atmosphere. Somewhere is a catchy halftime vibe laced with unique, high-pitched vocals defines this track as an instant mood lifter. An eerie, minimalistic roller for when you’re in a hot pursuit is the one they call The Getaway. Well-executed and unexpected breaks, catchy pads accompany you on this escape from reality. Rolling, patrolling and pedal to the floor! To wrap it all up, we have the unmistakable retouch of Grevious Dub by one of Australia’s hottest producers of the moment, Confusious. Precision drum programming, weighty stabs and a grumpy, growling bassline make up this banger. Mission succesful, transmission has been lost.
